Prinsip Islam.

Maka aku katakan, cobalah wahai saudaraku lihatlah al-quran.

Arrogance

There is something that most of has, yes it is arrogance. But do you know the scary thing about this thing is? That most of the arrogance people dont notice it!

It is the thing that split people up, it is the thing that prevent progress in life. Yes, i think arrogance have lots of negative effects in life. (We ask Allah to save us from this arrogancy)

Why i say that arrogancy can have negative effects?

1. Delusion

You think that you progress in life, after you achieve certain achievement you feel that you already did a really really amazing thing. And then, you start comparing yourself to others, now here the arrogancy starts. You realize that oh everyone arent achieving as you did. You get deluded, amazed at yourself. After that, you start to stop working for achievment thinking that you’ve done enough.

But do you know? When you are looking down at others, actually other people have some achievement too. You just dont know yet, and yes you will be embarassed when you see the people you’ved looked down had achieved something.

2. Prevent progress in life

Yes, when you are being arrogance. You feel that only you who has the best opinion. Only you that can do that job. You dont believe in other’s capability to do things. You start judging other people’s life.

“Oh look, he wastes his time” “Oh look she doesnt wear her scarf” “Oh look these bunch of people dont work hard like i always did”

So prejudices fill your own mind! You dont find any kinds in other person! Oh it’s only you who is right, others are wrong. Indeed this is a plain error.

Now there is a person like this, he starts busy himself with the mistakes of other, but he forgets his own mistakes. When he began always thinking and judging others, he forgot that there is something that has more right to be judged and evaluated : his own self!!!!! So when he doesnt start evaluating himself, he stops to grow naudzubillah.

What are the signs of arrogance?

1. He feels that only he that is right

2. He likes to cut other people conversation. This is because he doesnt any value in other’s words.

3. He doesnt give any value to other’s opinion. He thinks that his opinion is always the best.

4. Looking down at others.

So our prophet shallallahu alaihi wa sallam has told us the right thing. Arrogance is denying the truth and looking down at other people. I ask Allah to guard us from this evil thing, may Allah guide me and all of muslimiin.

A poem i made

Hi guys this is one of the poem that i tried to make, though i dont know any grammatical rule of poetry in arabic.

Be with Allah and do not care

Eventhough the darkness of night longens unto you

Today is prison but tomorrow is high heaven

So that every accidents dont stay

And the moments flow in a fast pace

Procrastination

You now you live in this world once. You know there might be no tomorrow. You know you gotta change. But you’re scared. You procrastinate. I dont understand why people procrastinate because you srriously they are wasting their time! I love the saying of Ibnu Umar regarding this.

” If you are in the morning, don’t wait the evening”. If you are in the evening don’t wait the morning”

Because , how many people who got up to the morning but he didn’t meet the evening that day. And how many people who got to the evening but didn’t survive to the morning. Imagine for example the one who got crashed in the road. He happily walked out of his house into his car, singing the songs during the trip, calling his partnet when he is driving, say that he is 20 years old, in the trip he tought that he has all the time in the world, he think he might be up to 60. But NO! a truck crashed his car along with his body!!!

Right, that man got up to morning, but didn’t survive to the evening. We seek the unsure wealth yet we forget that death is what we are running from all along our lives! Have you think once, the moment when angel of death stares at you؟

Now if you’re reading this, there’s still time. Fix yourself and fight!!

The Tongue

One of the greatest ni’mah Allah gave to mankind is the tongue. I mean like i just realized this and it’s really amazing you know. Imagine that 6 Billion people in this earth is have no tongue, how would they communicate? How would they share their ideas one and another? So we really need to be grateful of this ni’mah. Imagine yourself if you suddenly can’t speak!

Now if we look in the Qur’an Allah explained this huge ni’mah in one of his ayah.

He has taught him speech. (Ar-Rahmah:3)

But from my view, sometimes we get delluted by this ni’mah and use it for the things that Allah forbid it. They use it on backbite, slander, speaking without knowledge. They take it as easy things. But we shoud remember that every single of our words are recorded! We should remember that every word that we pour from our mouth regarding other people will be asked by Allah ta’ala. Isn’t it a man with his words can enter Islam? Or the opposite he can be a murtad wal iyyadzu billah. Isn’t it a man can be married only from his word that he said? So this thing is not a small things my brother.

And the things that I saw in my life also, that we sometimes speak as if we have to speak all the time, haha. You know that awkward moment when there is nothing in the air except silence? You are looking for words to speak but you can’t find it? Sometimes you just need to be silence my brother. Try to be silent much, or if you can , try to fast at Monday and Thursday as the Sunnah of the Prophet Shallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam and do not talk much in that day. You will find peace. You will find rest.

So the important thing is our brother, that we should keep to guard our tongue. It is better to be silent and not talk much rather than talking much and make lots of sins in our saying. But it doesn’t mean we have to be silent all the time, no. Just keep in the middle between silent and talking too much.

And remember this hadeeth from the Prophet Shallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam, a very beautiful hadeeth.

Abû Hurayrah relates that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak a good word or remain silent. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should show hospitality to his neighbor. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should show hospitality to his guest.” [ Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim ]

Procrastination

You keep waiting, while you know that now is the best moment. You keep waiting, fear of failure, fear of change, but you see now or tomorrow the change itself will come whether you like it or not. So what are you waiting for? Go for your dream, make your plan NOW, I know you can, and if you make some mistakes in the path, at least you have achieved something instead of wasting your time thinking about the uncertain. As long as your in the right path, there’s nothing to worry about. And as Muslims, remember the greatest of greatest dream for us – The Heaven

Lughotuna Al-‘Arabiyah

Sesungguhnya Kami menurunkannya berupa Al Quran dengan berbahasa Arab, agar kamu memahaminya. (Yusuf:2)

[At-Taubah/9:119]

Beware of Backbites!

Bismillah

Allah has granted us many ni’mah from his side. So if you look to your own life, till this day, you’ll realize that you can’t do nothing except that Allah has helped you regarding that matters. Don’t you see how Allah is very merciful and compassionate? He sends rains, He created the skies, He fills this earth with all the things that we need and so on. And these ni’mah can result in one of both : Either you are being grateful or being forgetful.

And one of the biggest ni’mah that Allah has given to us is He made tongue for all of us, that we can use it for goods and bads. But, unfortunately some of us forget this ni’mah. This causes them not caring about any sins or mistakes regarding this tongue. And one of the most forgotten things regarding this is “Backbiting”

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Do you know what gheebah (backbiting) is?” They said, “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He said, “Saying something about your brother that he dislikes.” It was said, “What if what I say about my brother is true?” He said, “If what you say is true then you have backbitten about him, and if it is not true, then you have slandered him.”

[Muslim]

Allah even said in the Qur’an

“neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful” [49:12]

You see how evil are what the Backbites have already done! They have nice attitudes in front of the people; yet when other people are absence they talked lots of bad things about them as if they were already perfect! Can you imagine one people spreading in different groups talking about the shortcoming of everyone they can?! Doesn’t he fear the Akhirah?

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do you know who is bankrupt?” They said, “The one without money or goods is bankrupt.” The Prophet said, “Verily, the bankrupt of my nation are those who come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers, fasting, and charity, but also with insults, slander, consuming wealth, shedding blood, and beating others. The oppressed will each be given from his good deeds. If his good deeds run out before justice is fulfilled, then their sins will be cast upon him and he will be thrown into the Hellfire.

So fear Allah and control your tongue!
